Job Title: International Metering Sales Manager

Do you have 5-10 years' experience selling or supporting IEC Meters or related business within the Utility Generation, Power Transmission and Distribution markets? Summary

This is a technical sales position to help the company break into the IEC Metering Market for high end revenue metering. The primary market will be EU/UK/ME along with ASIA. The regional sales manager will have knowledge of the customers and contacts that specify high end IEC revenue meters. The ideal candidate will reside in Europe/UK which is close to the target sales market. This position will direct regional sales managers, product managers and representatives/distributors (channel) in all pre and post-sale support and marketing activities. The position requires someone that can accompany our sales channel for customer visits to fully understand their requirements and perform product demonstrations, training, etc. as required.

General Sales Support:

  • Supports customers, regional sales managers and representatives in all pre-sale activities. Assesses potential application of company products and offers solutions that meet customer needs.
  • Provides customer and field sales force support through market knowledge of IEC Metering products and their use in the industry.
  • Support and attend exhibitions, trade shows
  • Performs training for field sales force and assists with customer presentations
  • Reviews technical specifications and commercial terms for compliance.
  • Identify market expectations for pricing and product requirements in order to establish our go to market pricing.
  • Generates proposals for products and systems to include commercial terms, technical compliance, and project specific details while emphasizing the advantages of our products and how they will benefit the customer.
  • Identify and lead the effort to obtain necessary product certifications, testing and approvals required for the market

Specific Product Support:

  • Become an application expert in the Metering products attaining an extremely high level of product and application expertise.
  • Support product managers on selected products and services in the area of market research. Includes analysis of the various vertical markets the selected product serves with respect to competitive analysis, market trends, market growth, and regulatory activity and customer requirements. Aid in the creation and maintenance of product roadmaps and strategic sales initiatives.
  • Create presentations and white papers and provide field sales support for highly technical sales presentations in support of strategic selling initiatives and general sales meetings with regional sales managers and the channel.
  • Support and contribute to the creation of marketing tools and literature including manuals, sales literature, application white papers and promotional literature.

Additional Requirements:

This position requires significant interaction with customers, sales and service personnel as well as the continuing ability for the individual to maintain an extensive understanding of the market, competitors and industry trends as they relate to the application of the products. Due to these requirements, extensive travel should be expected comprising 50-75% of working days.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

The Sales Manager will be required to have the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution preferably in Electrical Engineering or Business.
  • Experience in the IEC Metering Markets.
  • Proven strategic planning skills.
  • Ability to work independently with a highly proactive work style.
  • Ability to partner across all levels and functional areas of the organization to ensure customer needs are met.
