Job Title: Regional Development Manager

Role Scope

To play a proactive role in developing Company's position within the cable market for OEM and End Users, whilst taking responsibility for the Area achieving its sales targets.

This position involves a substantial amount of travelling across the area to present Company's offering and to entertain important buyers. This position is home based with regular travel and occasionally overnight stays.

To achieve all financial and performance targets as well as objectives allocated to you by the Company on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities

  • To maintain and develop business with the company's existing accounts in the Area.
  • Self-generation of sales leads.
  • To proactively establish new relationships with OEM and End Users making the Company their preferred source of supply for cables and cable accessories.
  • To gather market information regarding volumes and prices to ensure that Company's prices are competitive and to provide feedback to the Purchasing team regarding stock management.
  • To seek market opportunities and to introduce new products both to Company and to the
  • OEM and End Users.
  • Following up on sales leads provided by the Marketing Department and Internal Sales team.
  • Identifying new areas of growth within the marketplace, product mix and new markets.
  • Provide forecasts and budgets as required on territory activity.
  • Organise and maintain accurate records, call plans and providing regular reports to management.
  • Increase business levels.
  • Provide feedback on competitor products and activity.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Relevant experience of 5 years minimum.
  • Relevant industry experience.
  • Appropriate technical aptitude and/or qualifications.
  • Highly motivated to work to achieve targets.
  • Proven ability to manage own work.
  • Self-motivated and enthusiastic.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
