Job Title: Customer Quality Engineer

Do you have 3 to 5 years' experience working in a Customer Quality Engineer role or similar? Do you have a degree or equivalent education and/or experience? Do you have excellent oral and written communication skills? Are you able to perform data entry and data analysis? Position Summary:

Responsible for all support activities for the corporate quality organization including data analysis/reporting, Failure analysis, 8D reporting and process and product improvement via the Product Quality teams (PQT).

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Gathers data and information for various quality reporting requirements for both internal and external requirements.
  • Liaises with Global Services in the preparation and review of failure analysis reports.
  • Leads quality improvements using 8D report techniques as facilitator.
  • Collates both factory metrics and unit return data to drive improvement via the Product Quality cross functional teams.
  • Formats data and information into presentations and reports to be used internally and externally. May be required to present data to corporate management and customers.
  • Participates in customer and other third party quality audits and provides data as needed.
  • Performs a variety of routine tasks to ensure overall corporate quality standards are met.

Work Environment:

  • Works in standard office environment and uses general office equipment (phone, PC, copier, fax machine etc.).
  • Some travel will be required; (domestic and international).
  • Some overtime will be required as needed.

Skills:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Able to perform data entry and data analysis.
  • Ability to effectively use corrective action process.
  • Intermediate PC knowledge Excel, Word and SAP.
  • General understanding of the company's products and applications.
  • Ability to interface on a professional level with a wide variety of technical disciplines that exist within the company and outside of the company.
  • High degree of creative ability, technical skill and independent judgment.
  • Able to work with minimal supervision.

Experience:

  • 3 - 5 years' experience in related field.

Education:

  • Degree or equivalent education and/or experience.
