Following another year of growth and career progression within our team, we are recruiting an Audit Manager to join a Lancaster office.

Ideally you will:-

  • ACA/ACCA qualified with first-time passes with at least three years' post-qualified experience.
  • Have a Minimum 2:1 degree.
  • Have experience of managing a portfolio of clients and team of staff.
  • Have experience of reviewing accounts and audit assignments, including group audits, and completing assignments direct to the RI.
  • Have excellent internal and client communication skills.
  • Work efficiently and effectively as part of a team.
  • Have a working knowledge of CCH and paperless auditing.
  • Have experience of Charities/FSA/Pensions experience.

The role

Are you an Audit Manager who is experienced in managing audit teams on a portfolio of clients ranging from small owner-managed businesses to larger groups operating across a diverse range of industries? You'll be responsible not only for delivering a complete audit file to the RI on time (every time), but also for managing the audit process from beginning to end, working with other departments across the firm as necessary, ensuring our clients receive the seamless service they deserve. You will effectively plan you and your team's time, review and challenge your team's work, review and clear routine audit queries, consider and summarise complex audit issues for discussion with the client, make the RI internal reviews as straightforward as possible.

You will also be able to deliver ad-hoc projects for clients, working either alone or as part of a team, demonstrating an understanding of our clients' needs, strong analytical skills, attention to detail and presentation skills.

As a key member of the audit team you will motivate and inspire through your actions and will identify when other team members need additional support or training to fulfil their roles.

You will be based in Lancaster, but the requirements of the role will be that you work across the firm's client base, so you'll need to be flexible to work at different office locations and clients' premises as needed and as part of your normal day-to-day duties.
