Role summary:

Reporting to the UK Service Sales Manager and working to company guidelines, Service Sales Executives are the key point of contact for customers in an assigned geographic region to contribute directly to achieving the company's business plan by:

  • Identification and acquisition of profitable new customers.
  • Generation of quality and quantity of pipeline opportunities to achieve the annual business requirements.
  • Account Management of allocated customers to develop further opportunities and secure contract retentions.
  • Encourage customer growth and loyalty through continuous support and assistance.
  • Work closely with the Business Development Managers and Service Engineer community to develop opportunities for profitable business growth.

As our Business Development Executive you will be responsible for:

  • Effective account management ensuring contract retention of identified customers.
  • Securing orders for Service Agreements and our wider portfolio of service offerings based on quoted offers of the companies Systems Pro-active service programmes.
  • Professionally representing the company and promote and enhance its reputation.
  • Building trusting relationships with key customers and understand their businesses. Develop business opportunities, improve customer satisfaction and secure retention of key customers.
  • Ensuring the company's products are targeted as a priority when identifying and developing opportunities.
  • Promptly preparing accurate reports as required, mainly comprising Forecast updates, pipeline, customer visit reports and activity reporting.
  • Maintaining accurate records of all negotiations and pass on relevant information with customers' orders to Service operations, in accordance with company routines and procedures.
  • Working with our Service, Inside Sales and New Products teams for the benefit of the Company as a whole.
  • Working with colleagues across the company to generate more opportunities and leads through cross divisional joint opportunities to potential and existing customers.

Background and personal qualities:

  • Experience of field sales in a fast paced customer service environment.
  • Strong customer account management focus.
  • Knowledge of 'service' provision in some form - not just accustomed to selling 'hard products'.
  • Knowledge of the industrial b2b marketplace is desirable, as is an understanding of Facilities Management (FM).
  • Can clearly demonstrate the ability to implement short, medium and long-term growth plans.
  • Understands how to manage opportunity pipe-lines and hit-rates and, ideally, solution selling.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate level of education.
  • Proven experience in a b2b sales environment.
  • Computer skills (Microsoft) - knowledge of CRM systems.
