Job Title: Software Developer

Do you have at least 3 years academic or professional experience in software development, including requirements analysis, implementation, maintenance, testing, and problem diagnosis / resolution required? This is a fantastic opportunity to join a highly experience team of people and company for a 12 Month Fixed Term Maternity Contract.

Purpose of position

We are seeking a software developer to support a production I360-FuelQuest SaaS application portfolio of international reach, troubleshooting, identifying, developing and testing software fixes. This role requires working with highly-qualified software teams to provide satisfactory support to our applications. This includes, but is not limited to, responding to user reported problems, delivering solutions and communicating with other developers and researchers for in depth investigation, managing routine software updates and releases, implementing and testing software changes.

The position demands excellent analytical and problem solving skills, and ability to quickly understand complex software systems. Applicants must be able to communicate clearly and effectively. A production oriented user support attitude is a must.

This role requires that all associates comply with the actual company HSE Policy, as well as the companies Standard of Conduct.

Position Relationships - Internal

  • This position reports to the Team Leader Software Development.
  • This position will dotted report to Heritage Software Development Manager in US.
  • Work directly with Software Developers, Quality Assurance, and other project stakeholders.
  • Relationships with Service Team, Sales Organization and Marketing Personnel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Interact effectively with project team members and other service personnel in an agile development and testing environment.
  • Perform and participate in all aspects of software development life circle including analysis, design, implementation, testing and integration.
  • Identification and reporting of problems in new and existing software. Recreate reported software problems to facilitate solutions.
  • Contribute to improvements in software development and quality assurance processes, i.e., development of standard work where appropriate.

Delegation of Authority

The associate has the authorization to work within the framework of the actual Delegation of Authorities (DOA).

Measures of Performance

Performance will be measured based on individual tasks completed on time and initial requirements completion, using Agile Scrum metrics.

Personal Qualifications & Experience

Education/achievements

Bachelor's degree required (or higher) in Computer Science, or similar.

Experience/ knowledge

At least 3 years academic or professional experience in software development, including requirements analysis, implementation, maintenance, testing, and problem diagnosis / resolution required.

  • Familiar with Agile Scrum development methodology
  • Experience with bug tracking tools and version control systems (Jira / SVN / Bugzilla / GIT / GitFlow)
