Job Title: Business Development Manager - Repair & Service Department

Do you have previous Sales experience? Do you have a strong background in Repair & Service industry and able to demonstrate contacts/target customers? This is a fantastic opportunity to join a highly experienced team of people and company.

Primary objective of this position:

Promoting all company products and services to potential direct or indirect Repair & Service customers, specifiers, engineers and anyone who could influence the decision of purchasing the company's products and services within a defined sales area.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Achieving sales orders for the company products and/or services from within the defined Repair & Service sales areas with a minimum target value per year as agreed.
  • Maximising company profitability by ensuring the highest possible selling price is achieved during negotiations. Any additional discounts required to secure orders to be authorised by at least one director.
  • Ensuring customer satisfaction pre and post order and reporting positive or negative feedback through company documented quality management system.
  • Reporting on any customer complaints through the company documented quality management system.
  • Preparing weekly outline plan of forthcoming activities; location, customer contacts, order follow ups, etc.
  • Preparing monthly report, identifying key activities, pipeline review, competitor activity, market analysis and order intake.
  • Reporting on potential future projects and target customers, market pricing levels, customer buying trends, product or service development needs, and competitor activity to line manager.
  • Assisting credit control with collection of all information required for considering credit facilities, timely presentation of any required taxation certificates and collection of outstanding debts when required.
  • Managing and updating CRM software to ensure all customer details are logged and kept up to date, lead information is recorded and status of lead is current.
  • Preparing sales projections for forthcoming month and assisting with projections prior to year-end for forthcoming year.
  • Collecting all required information needed for preparation of quotations, production of drawings, and project management requirements and defining clearly and agreeing terms and conditions by which AASD will be undertaking contracts. All information to be completed on order checklist and presented with purchase order, letter of instruction or letter of intent.
  • Management of issued samples and trade literature to ensure they are presented properly and presented in good condition and by maintaining a log of their whereabouts.
  • Prepare and present full company portfolio presentations to all relevant clients.

Education / Qualifications:

  • Basic standard of education with English & Maths GCSE or equivalent essential.
  • A business related qualification would be desirable.

Experience:

  • Previous Sales experience is a necessary requirement.
  • A background in Repair & Service industry (with demonstrable contacts/target customers), doors & associated products would be a distinct advantage.
