Job Title: Project Engineer

As a Project Engineer your role would primarily be design, build and test of offshore monitoring systems. You would also be processing and analysing data and compiling reports. Projects vary considerably in size, complexity, and location and can range from a few weeks to several years; offering you exposure to a varied and interesting workload where your input and effort would make a difference.

Responsibilities:

  • Specification, design and test of monitoring systems for offshore installations.
  • Preparation, and checking of documentation such as mechanical and electrical drawings, design documents, test procedures, risk assessments, method statements/commissioning procedures.
  • Liaising with suppliers for procurement of sub-assemblies and parts.
  • Contributing to site work when required.
  • Remote support to field engineers performing site work.

Requirements:

  • A relevant degree; such as Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Aeronautical Engineering, Naval Architecture (minimum 2:1)
  • Previous relevant experience
  • Experience of matlab/Mathcad
  • Preference will be given to candidates with knowledge, or experience, of real-time data collection systems and/or offshore rig systems.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • The ability to work well alone as well as part of a team.
