Job Title: Senior Production Planner
Our client is looking for an enthusiastic Senior Production Planner to join their team. The job holder's role will be planning the sequence of manufacturing, fabrication, assembly and other manufacturing operations for guidance of production workers, including the construction of BOM/product routings.
Responsibilities:
- Planning and generating work orders in accordance with company procedures for all customer orders
- Providing costings and estimations as per company process
- Ensuring the availability of raw material and sub-components for work orders by effectively communicating with the purchasing and manufacturing departments
- Monitoring the execution of production plan and resolving any potential issues in a timely fashion
- Escalating complex issues to the Manager for resolution
- Investigating production problems, analysing root causes and providing solutions
- Analysing back orders, current orders and upcoming orders to prioritise, plan and schedule the production operations, communicating production status to managers and customers on a regular basis
- Monitoring production progress and ensure that final product meets quality standards and customer specifications
Requirements:
- Mechanical engineering experience
- Good IT skills, including Excel
- Planning experience
