REQUIRMENTS

Manage change implementations to deliver improvement to existing products, whilst adhering to agreed quality standards, project deadlines and project budgets
Provide engineering support for new product and process introductions, ensuring that all activities are completed and documented in accordance with Control procedures
Support with design control activities such as risk analysis, product specification, product testing and Validation to Design Transfer
Ensure that all products/processes are developed in compliance with regulatory requirements/best practice
Critically assess company products, processes and systems in order to improve quality and efficiency
Regularly interact with customers (internal and external) in order to better understand their needs (both known and unknown)
Maintain a high standard of professional and technical knowledge by attending educational training/workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing networks; participating in professional societies
Perform other related duties and tasks as required

Essential:

Degree in science / engineering or equivalent professional experience
Proven track record of implementing successful designs / technical knowledge into products or processes
Self-starter with demonstrated efficient work methods and ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced agile environment
Excellent interpersonal skills - able to express ideas and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
Innovative thinker - should be able to envisage new and better ways of doing things
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to plan, organize and implement concurrent tasks
Experience of creating 3D CAD models and technical drawings ideally using Solidworks
Competent in key Microsoft Office packages (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Project)

Desirable:

Experience working to medical device regulations and the medical device directive
Involvement in the design and development of truly innovative products and/or processes
Experience with intricate and technically challenging injection moulded plastic components
Knowledge of product design for high volume injection moulding and design for manufacture and assembly
Sealing / packaging design for medical devices
