Salary: £35,000 - £43,000 per annum
JOB PURPOSE:
Effectively partner with commercial, operational and production departmental heads and their teams to ensure opportunities for developing new and existing capabilities are maximised and engineering solutions are delivered in a timely manner, to budget meeting quality and service expectations of our customer base.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Work with operational teams to improve process efficiencies and minimise waste.
- Focus on continual development, coordinate implementation of process improvements to meet current and future requirements and operational excellence needs.
- Plan and maintain projects in an efficient, cost effective manner, ensuring delivery to meet / exceed customer service expectations.
- Negotiate and engage with suppliers and contractors to ensure projects are delivered on time and to budget.
- Initiate and/or lead improvement projects and CAPEX to enable new process and product introductions.
- Ensure the most cost-effective manufacturing process flows are defined when introducing new products into operations.
- Maintain an effective, timely and expedient communication to all stake holder levels.
- Stimulate initiatives, innovations, and motivation for continuous improvements.
- Offer technical backup to other Business Units.
- Adhere to industry standard, EHS and QA rules and regulations.

Qualifications and Experience
Qualifications:
- Degree educated in an engineering discipline or significant experience within an electromechanical environment.
- Lean certification (highly desirable)
- Project Management (essential)
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years' experience as an ME within an engineering/ manufacturing industry, evidencing application of industry best practice. Ideally experience will have been gained in an aviation environment but not completely essential if proven success in a related industry can be demonstrated.
- Proven experience of supporting and working within multi-discipline teams.
- Possess a strong understanding of quality systems and audit compliance; proven experience of working in a highly regulated and compliant environment.
- Considerable change management experience; understands the change management cycle and experience of delivering therein.
- Experienced practitioner of continuous improvement techniques
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills are essential.
