Job Title: Maintenance Engineer

An new exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join a global engineering and manufacturing company.

This role focuses on providing Preventative Maintenance and keeping equipment serviced and maintained to the highest standard.

Responsibilities include: -

Preventive and reactive maintenance to include:

  • SMT lines
  • Wave soldering lines
  • Selective soldering lines
  • Coating lines
  • Cleaning equipment
  • Vapor Phase equipment
  • Test equipment
  • Inspection equipment (SPI & X-Ray)
  • Soldering pallets and other tooling
  • Solder Irons
  • Future equipment based on business needs

Key objectives

  • Organise annual service contracts across the site
  • Preventive maintenance done in scheduled dates
  • Reduction of reactive maintenance and production downtimes
  • Well organised spare parts list and key spare parts on site
  • Well maintained log of machine faults
  • Well documented maintenance procedures and forms
  • Training operation team for basic maintenance tasks
  • Research about new maintenance methods and chemicals used for maintenance

This list is not exhaustive and in addition to these duties and responsibilities the Maintenance Engineer is required to carry out any other reasonable duties that may be required from time to time.

The ideal candidate will have: -

  • Experience in maintaining complex equipment
  • Experience in electronic engineering and electronic components
  • Familiar with TQM and Continuous Improvements environments
  • Experience in troubleshooting complex problems and items of equipment
