Purpose of the role Key Leadership Competencies

  • Day to day responsibility for Installations teams

  • Effective and efficient management and co-ordination of field engineers, sub-contractors
  • In conjunction with Project Co-ordinator key contact with field engineers ensuring that all projects undertaken have correct Starter/Completion Pack
  • Financially astute to deliver contracted projects within budgetary confinements and to KPI targets
  • Ensure effective and robust performance management metrics are in place and adhered to.
  • Reporting weekly on performance targets on projects against actuals

Key tasks and responsibilities

  • Ensure Installation teams are effectively deployed and workflow of materials/labour is kept to achieve optimum efficiencies
  • Ensure quality of service and delivery is OTIF and any potential delays or deviations from agreements are communicated with key stakeholders.
  • Continuously monitor, review and plan most cost effective execution of teams of labour, deployment thereof, tools and ancillary equipment within stringent budgetary confines
  • Effective installation management and movement of labour - ensuring timelines are managed and any delays effectively communicated upwards to ensure any claims through contractual rebates are known in a timely manner
  • Commercially Astute to gain industry advantage to build sustainable growth
  • Visit project sites and clients to inspect existing works and carry out efficiency checks
  • Ensure Health and Safety is stringently adhered to; costings include equipment to meet Health and Safety
  • Resolve any issues at site
  • Attend weekly and monthly meetings with management
  • Continuously review and analyse contractual projects to ensure margins are kept to optimum
  • Labour schedule in conjunction with Project Co-ordinators to plan and implement training requirements for teams in conjunction with company directives inclusive of holiday management, absence, etc
  • Facilitate the maintenance through the Project Co-ordinators of paper and paperless systems with correct contractual information and correspondence
  • Building strong sustainable relationships across group with a customer-centric approach
  • Effectively performance manage through Team with help and guidance by HR
  • Undertake any other duties that may be requested that you are adequately trained to do.

PRE, POST, REVIEW CONTRACT

Carry out pre-tender site visits and deal directly with customer/client enquiries; complete survey information in conjunction with Estimators. Liaise with Estimators to facilitate the production of cost estimates and quotations where necessary and follow up surveys and amendments. Follow up on surveys with customer/client to facilitate smooth project flow. Ability to provide evidence of the following experience: Motivation and Aptitude for project management; Planning and Execution skills; experience in running several teams within financial constraints.

Ability to demonstrate a precise and thorough approach to administration flows and tasks undertaken. Takes ownership of tasks undertaken to be able to deliver accurately; on time and to completion.

FORECASTING

Best case budget forecasting by the 3 rd working day. Allows alteration and recoupment where necessary.

Key listening abilities to build sustainable and robust relationships both within the team as well as customer/client base. Through team builds trust and credibility through quality of workmanship and delivery of execution. Acts as customer/client liaison contact.
