About the role

Reporting to the European Financial Planning & Analysis Manager, you'll be responsible for running the centralised weekly revenue reporting process, making sure every aspect of our is reported accurately and timely to the senior management team. You'll also provide insight and further reporting and analysis into our numbers to help drive management decision making, whether that's on a regular periodic basis, or on request as needed to support our general managers and senior directors.

Numbers are numbers and this is a financial reporting role with all the normal elements you'd expect, but you'll be doing this in a company that's really quite unique. "Penguins", "Clown Fish", "LEGO" ®, "Witches", "Spiderman" and "The Hulk" are all regular terminology in our business!

About you

It's absolutely essential and it goes without saying that you'll be able to demonstrate exceptional Microsoft Excel skills and be confident creating complex macros. Ideally you'll be comfortable with VBA too. Experience of SQL would be advantageous as would practical knowledge of Microsoft Access.

It's a must that you'll have an excellent eye for detail, be able to identify anomalies and errors in data and demonstrate that you know your way around spreadsheets. We're a complex business with significant revenue being generated from multiple sources all over Europe so the ability to be accurate organised and maintain focus and concentration with large amounts of data is paramount.

Whilst we'd love it if you're studying for a finance qualification, perhaps ACCA or CIMA, and previous experience in a reporting role or a finance role would be ideal, if you can demonstrate a basic understanding of finance and financial principles, but can show your prowess within Excel, macros and data then we'd love to hear from you.

Whilst this is a data focused role, you'll also have lots of contact with our management teams, so the ability to form great relationships and communicate with a wide range of people is really important. Whilst you'll be head down in a spreadsheet fairly often, it's important our people can embrace fun too, so a sense of humour and an upbeat, positive and team spirited personality would definitely help here!
