Job Description

A Leading Design & Manufacturing business, with several sites across the UK with a cutting-edge product range services the surveillance and defence industries with products that aid specific client requirements. The purpose of this role is to ensure that quality standards and procedures are met and aligned with legislation, customer specifications and business requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • You will maintain and review the Quality System to ensure that the requirements of BS EN ISO 9001 are satisfied at the Technology Companies.
  • Quality Assurance and Quality Control in accordance with and throughout all stages of customer contracts, ensuring Configuration Control, Product Identification and traceability standards are implemented and maintained.
  • Responsible for driving the companies 8D reporting methodology and process by identifying root cause, correcting, and eliminating reoccurring problems.
  • You must have experience of 8D report writing and previous experience of using quality problem solving tools and techniques within a SME organisation.
  • Author comprehensive Quality Management Plans to customer requirements
  • Internal Quality System Auditing.
  • Fault analysis and reports of customer RMAs.
  • Ensure that corrective actions resulting from recorded non-conformances in the system or the product are implemented.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • You will have several years of direct work experience gained within the electronic / mechanical industry using ISO9001, AQAP2110 QA systems, regulations, guidelines, and associated standards within the defence industry.
  • A HNC / HND or equivalent, in an engineering related discipline is required.
  • Must possess excellent communication skills for liaising and communicating with vendors, customers, and internal departments.
  • Practical experience with risk management, product testing, capability studies, and control plans.
  • Will have the ability to work on own initiative and to facilitate effective cross functional meetings.
  • You will have strong interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail is imperative to support this role.
