The Role of Director of Finance & Resources

  • To ensure that all LLC and contractual Health & Safety requirements and standards are within the delivery environment. Special reference is to be made to the 'Safe Learner requirements.
  • To deputies for the CEO at internal /external meetings and during their leave or other
  • Play an active part in the Consortium staff team attending staff and other appropriate
  • Receive and participate in supervision and training as deemed necessary and in line policies. To conduct supervision and appraisal with all staff line managed by the post
  • Operate within and promote the Consortium's policies in all areas
  • Undertake such duties as the development of the post and longer-term plans may make necessary and desirable.
  • Willingness to travel as required and necessary to enable the fulfillment of the role.

What are the key (minimum) requirements for a successful Director of Finance & Resources application?

  • Educated to degree standard e.g. Business or Accounting degree or Master's in Business Administration CIMA / ACCA /CPA preferred
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a Senior Management role ideally with both external audit and in-house financial management experience gained in a high-growth service delivery Organisation
  • Experience either as an employee or board member of a non-profit organization; and familiarity with non-profit finance and accounting regulations is an advantage.
  • Proven track record of success facilitating progressive organizational change and development within a growing Organisation.
  • Proficient user of IT including accounting software, MS Office, MIS spreadsheets and databases.
  • Excellent numeracy and literacy skills
  • Excellent customer facing skills.
  • Experience of liaison with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience of Government funding audit and compliance processes.
  • Experience of implementing performance management systems.
  • Experience of managing contractual partnership provision in FE environment.
