The Role of Supply Chain Contracts Manager

  • Maintain a contracts matrix and contract management system, to include both supplier and customer agreements
  • Lead in the negotiation of supply, manufacturing, and services contracts
  • Using your experience to develop our supply chain and manufacturing solutions
  • Liaising with prospective clients to agree on the terms of contracts
  • Build relationships with suppliers at a variety of levels across the relevant parts of their organisation
  • Engaging with departments to ensure key contractual terms are met
  • Detailed proofreading and editing of contract materials

What are the key (minimum) requirements for a Supply Chain Contracts Manager application?

  • Degree or equivalent qualification/experience in law or related discipline
  • Established experience in a manufacturing/engineering business
  • Contract negotiation skills
  • Experience of working with procurement teams
  • Aware of best practice concerning contract negotiation
  • Up to date with current legislation impacting the business and its products
  • Ability to read manufacturing/engineering drawings and interrogate where necessary
  • Understanding of manufacturing and fabrication processes, material processing and finishes (metalwork advantageous)
