Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum

As the Project Manager R&D, you will be reporting to the Head of Engineering your main activities and responsibilities will include managing a team to work on the design of new products across the product range. Project manage new product developments from product initiation to launch and liaising with the engineering group on new product developments and proposed enhancements of existing product ranges.

  • Working with the Engineering and Production teams as detailed below.
  • Assisting the administration of projects from receipt of enquiry to completion.
  • Liaising with customers, keeping the parties informed of project progress (including sales personnel, where relevant).
  • Selecting and sourcing of bought out components, such as fans and electrical panels.
  • Ensuring Writing of instruction manuals and documentation is completed by team as required by customers.
  • Overseeing the testing of systems prior to shipping (production department will assemble systems) as requested.
  • Providing specialist technical support as required.
  • Producing technical drawings that may be required for the production of parts to be used across the business units.
  • Leading product redesign to continuously improve products.

  • Mechanical design engineering skills
  • Good awareness of electrical engineering
  • Ability to read engineering drawings
  • Good project management, organisation and communication skills, coupled with a flexible and cooperative approach
