Salary: £30,000 - £34,500 per annum

As the Process Engineer you will develop, configure and optimise industrial moulding processes from inception through to start up, considering automation.

  • Assessing industrial processes and taking measurements and data
  • Developing practices, routines, and solutions to help improve productivity and product quality
  • Designing and running process simulations, performing risk assessment testing to eliminate time and cost constraints
  • Preparing process documentation and operating instructions
  • Overseeing and assessing new and existing processes and workflows
  • Devising, implementing, and testing new strategies to help optimise productivity, considering automation.
  • Analysing data to discover areas that need improvements and upgrades
  • Assessing compliance and adherence to safety and quality standards and reporting to higher management about their findings and proposals
  • Introduce appropriate control, measurement and analysis to enable factual data-driven decision making that is inclusive of all appropriate production personnel.
  • To support manufacturing operations through the use of facts, data, analysis and knowledge to resolve more in-depth process-related issues.
  • To provide process engineering knowledge to troubleshoot and optimise current manufacturing processes

To be successful in this role of Process Engineer we would love to speak to anyone who has experience of:

  • Have demonstrable and relevant previous experience and working knowledge of Injection Moulding and relevant Manufacturing Operations.
  • NVQ L3 in Plastic Processing Techniques / Manufacturing Operations
  • Ability to collect, record and analyse data to put forward proposal for process improvement and to monitor and assess delivery
  • Experience of delivering training and supporting teams in the delivery of agreed business objectives and performance improvements.
  • Knowledge of applying relevant Lean Manufacturing tools and techniques.
  • Be self-motivated and well organised; taking a structured/focused approach to the management and assessment of the work loads and being able to target and drive production performance.
