As the Business Development Manager you will identify and develop new opportunities in the battery and energy storage industry. This involves working closely with the sales team, engineering, and customers. This is a homebased position covering the UK.

  • Market research to identify and understand potential new opportunities.
  • Visit customers and provide first-pass assessments of potential solutions.
  • Work closely with internal teams and customers to ensure the customer needs are aligned with the internal plan.
  • Lead on aspects of the sales process, pitching complex technical and commercial proposals to potential and existing customers.
  • Working collaboratively with internal, sales, engineering, and production teams.
  • Attend conferences, webinars, shows etc. to expand our network.
  • Work with the marketing team to increase brand awareness.

We would love to speak to anyone for the Business Development Manager position, who has the following experience:

  • You will have a background with experience of selling battery and energy storage products and services and understand your evolving markets.
  • Has a strong understanding of the energy storage industry, or solar technology.
  • Knowledge of functional and regulatory requirements for the energy storage industry.
  • Must have experience selling to distributors and resellers.
  • You will have an exceptional and clearly demonstrable record of finding, developing, and closing new business opportunities within the battery and energy storage market sector.
  • It would an advantage if you have a technical background with strong technical sales experience and a sound understanding of engineering principals, which may have now transferred to the battery and storage market.
  • You will be commercially astute, entrepreneurial, and numerate, with a proven and successful record of accomplishment in identifying, negotiating, and closing new business.
  • A solid background spent as a business development manager, comfortable at opening new doors for new business opportunities.
  • Holds a driver's license and is comfortable at travelling throughout the UK. Onsite meetings and visibility will be required at our West Yorkshire site. However, this role can be based remotely.
