As the Project Engineer, you will be responsible for Technical Appraisal the Scope and Design of the Project or new opportunity, producing detailed tender specifications for the mechanical / electrical and civil works and engaging with suitable sub-contractors to obtain costs for the works identified.

You will act as the technical contact point for clients on nominated projects, communicating and answering technical queries, maintain project folders ensuring that all technical data is correctly filed and report all changes in the project that may affect the company's commercial or contractual obligations.

  • Attend internal kick off meetings with the Projects and Contracts Management.
  • Attend customer kick off meetings
  • Attend site and office project meetings as required
  • Be fully familiar and work in accordance with the 'Sales Administration Order Processing Checklist'
  • Communicate technical documentation with order handlers in Germany and issue drawings to clients for review and approval.
  • Ensure that customers have all relevant information to allow them to install the equipment.
  • Conduct site visits surveys, where necessary, and work with main contractor when the company are providing installation service.
  • Create and review Risk Assessments and Method Statements ensuring compliance with site and task specific requirements
  • Utilising service and workshop instruction sheets prepare documentation necessary to conduct the individual activities.

We would love to speak to anyone who has the following experience:

  • Candidates are ideally educated to a minimum HNC/HND level or equivalent. Be a self-starter able to plan activities unsupervised
  • With a minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Have a high level of expertise in Microsoft applications including word, excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to liaise with all levels of people (internal and external)
  • Good written and verbal communication skills and be able to effectively liaise with
  • customers, sub-suppliers, and company colleagues.
  • Keen eye for detail
  • Flexible and pro-active approach and able to adapt to change
  • Ability to work under pressure as part of team and own initiative
