Job Title: National Inventory Manager
Are you an Inventory Manager with experience in general stock control for multiple sites? Do you have a Degree in Logistics or equivalent? This is a national role so travel is required throughout the UK. A full UK Driving Licence is essential.
Overview:
Reporting into the Operations Director, the National Inventory Manager (NIM) will be responsible for developing the forecasting, purchasing and stock control system which will be used across all of the 6 company's sites.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver against service level, stock and slow moving targets as agreed with Operations Director
- Utilising site capacity and under-cover storage areas to determine product range stocking policies
- Minimise use of external storage facilities with improved product flow
- Working with suppliers to deliver improved service, MOQ, and EOQ opportunities
- Guarantee suitable product availability is ahead of target to optimise sales opportunities
- Ability to manage and influence a variety of stakeholders
- Part of the team to improve and implement stock management processes and procedures
- Ensure system accuracy of inventory
Skills/Experience Required:
- Degree level in Logistics or equivalent
- Experience in general stock control (multi-sites)
- Good analytical skills, processing large volumes of data to make effective decisions
- Competent user of suitable IT systems, e.g., Microsoft products, particularly Excel & Access
- Valid UK driving licence and willing to drive nationally
