Job Title: Area Sales Manager

Are you an experienced Area Sales Manager with experience selling lighting solutions into the transport industry? Are you confident managing existing accounts as well sourcing new customers?

Job Overview:

  • To satisfactorily manage existing allocated accounts
  • To seek out and develop new customers, projects and accounts
  • To maintain internal and external customer satisfaction
  • To support integration between the Internal Sales team, Development, Purchasing, and Production functions of the business

Job Description:

Develop sales in the traffic sign market by:

  • Developing and sustaining sales opportunities with key influencers and decision makers within the territory
  • Generating ideas, regardless of source, to further the organisation's development in this and other markets

Promote the company by:

  • Supporting the product in the 'field'
  • Attending relevant industry related meetings and functions
  • Maintaining close personal contact with key customers
  • Assisting with, attending and promoting relevant exhibitions

Contribute towards the organisation's further development by:

  • Promotion of the Sales function internally
  • Preparation of, and the delivery of, reports
  • Existing product review and continual improvement
  • Assisting with research, development and continual improvement of systems and new products
  • Maintaining and improving the organisation's status as a preferred supplier

Knowledge and skills required:

  • Knowledge of the Local Authority and National Road Signs Industry
  • Working as a team member and showing individual leadership relating to internal and external customers, clients and networking
  • Analysing and interpreting data and arranging and presenting complex information in a clear and logical manner, enabling decision making
  • Showing by example the use of equipment to a level that enables first time user competency
  • Understanding and enabling the use of information technology
  • Handling numerical and financial data
