Job Title: Regional Sales Manager

Do you have 3 to 5 years relevant experience in a direct selling environment? Do you have a proven record in working to sales budgets and delivering targets? Main Purpose of the Role:

To develop and grow sales of both retail catalogue ranges and customer bespoke designs and items on the territory assigned.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

Will have responsibility to ensure:

  • Plan an effective travel route to visit maximum number of customers on the territory
  • Manage customer accounts to develop and maintain long term relationships
  • Supply information in a timely manner to assist with the maintenance and growth of sales on the territory assigned.
  • Ensure customer orders and requests are passed to the office/customer service support for fulfilment in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Research and development to identify and target new distribution ensuring the integrity of the brand is upheld.
  • To work with and expand the B2B division of the company.
  • Meet and exceed set budgets for the assigned territory.
  • Maintain a deliverable margin on sales within the retail sector of the business for the territory.
  • Liaise with the quality control department for any product complaints.
  • Communicate with credit control department to ensure debts recovered where necessary.
  • Attend trade shows promoting the company where required and out of standard working hours.
  • Educate and promote the company's ability to provide a bespoke design service.
  • Provide customer briefs for bespoke products to the design department.
  • Liaise with cost controller/manager to provide pricing for bespoke design briefs.
  • Ensure bespoke product stock is sold within set guidelines for the appropriate customer.
  • Provide information regarding design and product trends in the market/territory to.

Personnel Specification

Education, experience, skills:

  • Good standard of education.
  • 3-5 years relevant experience in a direct selling environment.
  • Proven record in working to sales budgets and delivering targets.
  • Experience in the use of computers, using Excel and relevant programs.
  • Experience with cold calling/approaching target new distribution.
  • Knowledge of Sage computer system.
  • Experience in trade shows/exhibitions.
  • Some design/product background.

Aptitudes

  • Logical approach to problem solving.
  • Excellent organisational skills to manage time efficiently.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Able to demonstrate assertiveness when working with customers.

Disposition/personality:

  • Self-confident and motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Capable of working on own initiative and also part of a team.
  • Positive attitude.

Circumstances/flexibility

  • Flexible approach to working hours within the role to achieve best results.
  • Ability to attend trade shows outside of standard working hours.
