Job Title: Commissioning Engineer

The purpose of this position is to act as the technical expert and point of reference for all field-based commissioning related work. You must possess 17th edition requirements for electrical installations.

Responsibilities:

  • Commissioning control panels and dampers installed by clients; conducting visual inspections, checking motors, thermal fuses and other component parts, wiring connections, thermal fuses, panel wires, etc.
  • Ensuring overall installation compliance
  • Making final panel connections
  • Checking of electrical/field wire continuity
  • Check product operations mechanically and electrically
  • Carrying out testing procedures
  • Investigating problems and carrying out diagnostic and repair faults
  • Writing necessary reports/completing check lists to required standards
  • Maintain accurate customer records adhering to company processes and procedures
  • Ensuring safe working conditions and working to H&S compliance
  • Demonstrating equipment to end client
  • Able to conduct necessary planned maintenance duties
  • Electrical maintenance work

Requirements:

  • This person must possess 17th edition requirements for electrical installations
  • An NVQ in electrical engineering or similar would be an advantage
  • Minimum two years' experience in similar or transferable industry position is required
  • Sound knowledge of appropriate H&S considerations
