Job Title: Quality Officer

Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, the Quality Officer will be accountable for testing and inspecting the products, ensuring they meet UK product qualification plans and testing standards; furthermore, to ensure customer satisfaction through the administration and control of product, technical and quality related documentation.

Responsibilities:

  • Complete incoming inspection on new and safety critical products;
  • Conduct returns analysis when required;
  • Produce quality reports for New Product Development;
  • Perform facility and system audits on an ongoing basis in line with current accreditations;
  • Maintain and update current product specifications;
  • Set up Goods In product inspection sheets;
  • Complete product development / fault finding analysis in conjunction with suppliers;
  • Complete customer complaints investigation and monitor any trends;
  • Monitor and maintain Supplier corrective action reports / rejections; audit findings to the Purchasing Manager, and provide feedback initiating any training requirements as appropriate

Requirements:

  • Educated to degree / HNC level or equivalent strong Mechanical Engineering background
  • Previous experience working within a fast-paced FMCG (preferable) or retail Quality Department
  • Good working knowledge gained from a similar Quality Engineering role
  • Lead Auditor training knowledge and experience
  • Experience of working to ISO 9001:2015
  • Experience in testing preferable and knowledge of quality sampling techniques.
