Job Title: Quality Assurance Specialist

Our client is currently a Quality Assurance Specialist who will be responsible for maintaining the Quality Management System in line with the requirements of AS9100 as well as customer interactions for QA contract review and documentation requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform auditing of the QMS for AS9100 standard.
  • Use of internal metrics to analyse trends and liaise with the continuous improvement team to implement improvement activities.
  • Liaising with customers' auditors and ensuring the execution of corrective action and compliance with customers' specifications.
  • Prepare and coordinate for Nadcap audits.
  • Perform internal and external audits of our business and sub-contract base.
  • Coordinate the Engineering Change Process.
  • Manage Procedure review and escalation.
  • Maintain APQP activity including PFMEA, FAIR, PPAP. This includes 3rd Party Inspections and completion of material record books with supply to customer.
  • Report out to stakeholders the status of metrics in daily TOC meeting.

Requirements:

  • Green Belt Qualification for Lean/6 sigma.
  • Completed Engineering Apprenticeship / HNC or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of AS9100 with minimum 5 years' experience preferably from a manufacturing background.
  • Demonstrated ability work in a cross-functional environment and to work with key stakeholders at various levels.
  • Strong analytical problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to self-motivate, multi-task and work independently.
  • Excellent IT skills- particularly in MS Excel, Word and Adobe.
  • Possess drive and enthusiasm to be a champion for the QA & Technical department
  • Approach work with high levels of energy and be creative and innovative.
  • Possess a long-range perspective and a strong desire to challenge the status-quo.
