Job Title: Quality Assurance Manager

This role is very much a hands-on, practical position requiring the incumbent to liaise with external and internal stakeholders. It is important that the individual in this role be confident in their communication and ability to advise on highly technical information. This is a customer focused role, in that the incumbent will provide field support and visit customers when there are QA issues, concerns or queries. Think of this position as the internal customer representative for everything QA.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage Company's ISO 9001 system.
  • Develop & report upon key performance indicators cornering quality outgoing from the Company and within manufacturing departments.
  • Ensure compliance of all manufacturing to relevant legislation.
  • Assist with environmental legislation such as WEEE.
  • Provide customer support on quality issues.
  • Report internally & externally on quality issues.
  • Drive our document control systems.

Requirements:

  • Qualification in further / higher education in a relevant field or experience to the same level would be
  • Excellent understanding of quality philosophies.
  • Experience in manufacturing, specifically electrical goods.
  • Good understanding of Lean Manufacturing.
  • Experience working with all levels of staff, including Directors.
  • Experience in developing a Poka Yoke culture.
  • Ability to multi-task, wear multiple hats, and work cross-functionally between teams.
  • Practical, hands on management style with the ability to lead & coach.
