Main Purpose of Job

Responsible for managing the Heating and Ventilation Systems category, this role will necessitate working closely with the Channel marketing, Sales and R&D teams to ensure the product portfolio matches group technology and capabilities with the identified needs of customers. To achieve this, you will lead New Product Introduction (NPI) projects, setting milestones and deadlines to meet objectives as well managing the existing portfolio through the various stages of product lifecycle.

Accountabilities

The primary duties of the role will include the following:

  • Acts as a point of contact and ownership for everything regarding this product portfolio.
  • Works with the Global Marketing Manager to coordinate activities to support the wider category portfolio including planning, balancing and managing the agreed NPI projects to develop the product portfolio and roadmap.
  • Involvement in GDHV's Strategic initiatives for growth or efficiency improvements.
  • Adhere to the Integrated Business Planning (IBP), NPI and Stage Gate processes while helping to identify areas for improvement.
  • Making data driven decisions based on customer feedback, to ensure all new features developed are meeting customer needs.
  • Responsibility for maintaining and presenting a knowledge of competitors and other external legislative, technological, social and economic factors that influence product development.
  • Collaborate with Channel marketing on the identification and prioritisation of customer and market opportunities. Create innovative product positioning strategies based on an informed understanding of market needs.
  • Working with the R&D and Design teams to ensure new products are developed on-time, on-budget and on-specification.
  • Represent the products within your portfolio at cross functional forums such as Quality and
  • Operations to deliver cross functional excellence.
  • Responsibility for the accuracy and optimisation of all product information including website, printed and especially the Product Information Management (PIM) system.
  • Create and maintain product summaries that specify features, benefits and applications to enable the Marketing Communication team to create suitable promotional and messaging for new and existing products.
  • Develop and roll-out product training material as required for new and existing products by creating, maintaining and delivering courses in conjunction with the Training team to meet the needs of the business.
  • Uphold the highest standards of quality and adherence to our ISO9001 and ISO14001 processes and procedures.
