As a Project Manager, you will project manage in accordance to the New Product Development (NPD) process to achieve high quality solutions from conceptual stage through to central launch. You also will be responsible for project Planning, tasks scheduling, for delivering projects on-time, on-specification and on-budget in line with the business case and Product Briefs. risk and issues management for standard sourced and/or manufactured projects. You will lead project teams to manage the development & release of standard lighting fixture solutions. Communicate effectively with stakeholders to establish requirements, report status and expedite progress

  • Record and understand the key project deliverables and milestones.
  • Manage regular reviews to measure progress against project commitments. Identify and manage project change control.
  • Contribute to presentations on behalf of the Project Management Team, including statistical reviews of the NPD portfolio.
  • Keep an overview of projects, ensuring all functions including R&D, engineering, sourcing and production keep to timescales to ensure that there are no obstacles to meeting the projects' delivery deadlines.
  • Liaise with Laboratory and Product Compliance teams to ensure that the correct testing and approvals are obtained.
  • To keep the Programme manager and Product & R&D Director informed of any delays in the project.
  • Communication with stakeholders, positively and professionally; face to face, by telephone and in writing.

To be successful in the role of Project Manager, we would like to speak to anyone who has experience in the following:

  • Commercial awareness.
  • Phase/Gate NPD processes [preference in Manufacturing].
  • ERP and understanding of engineering principles and codes.
  • HND/Degree in Engineering or Business/Project Management competence.
  • Project management qualification (APM, PRINCE2, PMP an advantage).
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience.
