Position: Purchasing Manager

Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 per annum
The successful Purchasing Manager will oversee the management of the Purchasing Team and ensuring they work effectively towards company goals.
The role will involve:
- Analysis of current purchasing practice and implementation/management of purchasing strategy.
- Creation and development of effective supply chain relationships to provide a more cost effective and efficient supply.
- Work with supply chain to minimize shortages and improve supply.
- Collation and implementation of new ideas for improvements within the department.
- Work closely with design/ R+D to understand requirements/costs for new equipment and the impact on purchasing/ greater business needs.
To be successful in this role of Purchasing Manager we would love to speak to anyone who has experience of:
- CIPS qualified
- Minimum of 5 years in a purchasing management position.
- Previous Management experience
- Strategic purchasing experience with diverse supplier base.
- Good knowledge of assembly manufacturing organisations.
- Previous experience of outsourcing assemblies and working with overseas suppliers
- Previous experience of creating and maintaining Kanban call off process with suppliers
- Excellent interpersonal skills, communication, influencing and organisational skills.
